Memory Warning
If the Power Button is set to "Rest/Resume"
in CMOS Setup, then pressing the power button does NOT turn off
the computer, it just puts it in "Rest" mode. There
is still power flowing in the computer, EVEN IF THE BATTERY PACK
IS REMOVED.
This is because there is a second battery (the backup
battery) used to power the system when it is in rest mode.
If
a memory upgrade, or any service, is performed on the system when
it is in this state, damage could occur.
The Power Button needs
to be set to "Power On/Off" in CMOS Setup before service
is performed.
The main board has one memory module socket that
takes a proprietary SIPP.
