PB400/PB401T RAM Upgrade Information

Warning Only authorized service personnel should upgrade the system. Anyone who wants to upgrade the system herself/himself should know about the dangers of ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) and the necessary precautions. Unknowingly zapping the components of the computer will void the warranty.
 

2MB Surface Mount Configurations

Note
There are presently two memory configurations for the PB400 motherboard which have 2MB of soldered DRAM. The motherboard which is upgradeable to 6MB of RAM has System Controller OPTi chip 82C495 at U77. The motherboard which has OPTi chip 82C495B1 is upgradeable to 18MB.
 
This motherboard uses 30 pin SIMMs.
