Caution | Only authorized service personnel should upgrade the system. Anyone who wants to upgrade the system herself/himself should know about the dangers of ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) and the necessary precautions. Unknowingly zapping the components of the computer will void the warranty. |
Specifications
Use 72 pin 70ns EDO DRAM SIMMs for 50MHz (Pentium 75) bus speeds.
Use 72 pin 60ns EDO DRAM SIMMs for 60 or 66MHz (all other Pentium) bus speeds.
72 pin 70ns Fast Page Mode DRAM SIMMs can be used with all bus speeds.
All SIMMs should use Tin/Lead connectors.
Both SIMMs in the same bank MUST be the same type (EDO or Fast Page Mode) and speed. Do not mix SIMM types or speeds within a bank.
Parity SIMMs are supported, but will not function when mixed with non-parity SIMMs.
Socket Locations
SIMMs are inserted in Bank 0 or 1, sockets J10E1, J10F1 (Bank 0), J10D1, and J10D2 (Bank1). Both slots of a bank must be filled when an upgrade is done, and both slots must contain SIMMs of the same type, size and speed (See Specifications above).
The system board will recognize up to 128M of on board memory.
Note
When SIMM 2 in Bank 1 is properly seated, it will rest at
a 45 degree angle.
