PB640 Video Memory Upgrade

Video Adapter Upgrade Information.
Installing a video expansion card will automatically disable onboard video for this motherboard.

Warning Only authorized service personnel should upgrade the system. Anyone who wants to upgrade the system herself/himself should know about the dangers of ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) and the necessary precautions. Unknowingly zapping the components of the computer will void the warranty.

Driver Information
The PB640 uses CL-5430/5440 Video Drivers. The CL-5430/40 is compatible with IBM VGA standards.

Specifications

Location
The video memory upgrade is inserted in sockets U2J1 and U4J1. Pin 1 is at the front right corner of the socket. To install the chip, insert it into the socket and push until the chip snaps into place.
