680/685 MB: BIOS Update Not "Updating"

Symptom
In rare circumstances, trying to update the BIOS may not function correctly.
There may or may not be an error associated with the update failure.

Resolution
CAUTION!!
Ensure that the correct BIOS update is being used.
The incorrect BIOS type may cause the system to no longer function.

If no other methods are working to correctly update the BIOS, try using the procedure for "BIOS Recovery".
