850MB: Digital Joysticks Will Not Work

Symptom
Various digital joysticks on the 850 motherboard do not function properly.

Possible symptoms include:
Not detected correctly in Control Panel
Not detected correctly in the game
Locking up during game play

Resolution
This is a normal operation of this system.

We have verified that the following joysticks will work on this system. The first two were tested using the most updated joystick drivers from Microsoft® - http://support.microsoft.com/download/support/mslfiles/Swgame30.exe.

Microsoft Sidewinder® Force Feedback Pro.
Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro.
All analog joysticks.
