870 Motherboard Setup

The Setup Utility consists of six major menus - Main, Advanced, Security, Power, Boot and Exit. This section covers all of these menus and their sub-menus, including definition and usage of the features. In addition, full screens are provided for illustration.

These illustrations are approximations of the actual screens.

To enter CMOS Setup, Press <F2> during Power On Self Test (POST).

Menu Item Options Description
Processor Type Informational Only Displays type of processor installed.
Processor Speed Informational Only Displays speed of processor.
Cache RAM Informational Only Displays Level 2 cache size.
System Memory Informational Only Displays total amount of RAM detected on the motherboard.
Memory Bank 0
Memory Bank 1
Memory Bank 2
Informational Only Displays size and type of DIMM installed in each memory bank.

Selects the default language used by the BIOS.
L2 Cache ECC Support Disabled

Specifies ECC memory operation.
System Time HH:MM:SS Allows the user to set the system time.
