If unsure which device is causing the issue, remove all of the devices under "Sound, Video and Game Controllers".

- Go to the Device Manager
- Double- click on the device to upgrade.

- Reboot the computer after installation of the new driver files and Windows 95 will initialize the devices again.
Note
When re-installing Windows 95 only (not a full system restore), with the Sound 4 Winmodem installed, this diskette must be used to supply the driver files for the modem and sound devices. Failure to do this will cause the modem and all of the sound devices to be incorrectly set up under "Other Devices" in the Device Manager. If this happens, remove all of the devices listed in the "Other Devices" category as outlined above, and re-install the drivers according to this procedure.
This file is included in the self-extracting compressed file which also includes the current drivers required for installation at: http://www.pb-user.com/pub/audio/sound4.exe (Readme~1.doc).
